Brakes & Suspension
Brake system
Catalina supplies components for both disc and drum brake systems of American vehicles. These include master cylinders, brake boosters, brake calipers, brake discs, brake pads, brake drums, and brake shoes. When selecting these parts, factors such as single or dual brake circuits, axle-specific installation, and material choice are taken into account.
Components with a core deposit, such as brake calipers, can also be supplied. All brake components are selected in accordance with applicable import and safety regulations, including asbestos-free specifications.
Hydraulic brake components
Hydraulic components are essential for a properly functioning braking system. Catalina supplies brake hoses, wheel cylinders, and installation kits for drum brakes. These parts are often replaced preventively during maintenance or rebuilds to avoid leaks, uneven braking, or reduced brake pressure. Dimensions and connections are always verified to ensure correct fitment.
Suspension and chassis
The suspension determines driving comfort, stability, and road handling. Catalina supplies components such as control arms, control arm bushings, ball joints, leaf springs, coil springs, and shock absorbers. We consider the correct specification, such as upper or lower installation, oil-filled or gas-filled shocks, and the influence on ride height. Due to the higher vehicle weight of many American cars, correct specification is particularly important.
Steering system
For steering systems, Catalina supplies parts such as steering boxes, tie rod ends, idler arms, and power steering pumps. Both manual and power-assisted systems are available. For these components we take known wear points, the type of power steering system, and vehicle configuration into account to ensure safe and predictable steering behavior.
